The Max Spotlight!
In this week's spotlight at The Max:
We were honored to host New York City Mayor Eric Adams on December 19, 2022. Mayor Adams selected The Max 70 as his location to announced the landmark study to reimagine the Cross-Bronx Expressway. "With the $2 Million Federal Grant, Community-Driven Plan Will Study Decking Highway and Identify Strategies to Reconnect Communities, Address Inequitable Health Outcomes, Expand Open Space, and Increase Safety." Mayor Adams was joined by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson as well as Congressman Ritchie Torres and other delegates of NYS and NYC elected officials. Mayor Adams was also able to be introduced to The Max's comfort dog and was delighted to hear about the effectiveness of the comfort dog program at The Max. Principal Ledda was also able to speak with Mayor Adams and other elected officials about the programs offered at The Max and advocated for continued investment in our school community. The Max was also visited by our superintendent Harry Sherman who was delighted of the wonderful event being held at our school facility.
